Founder WELCOME
Hello!
My name is Rebecca. I am the Founding Director at Pacha Co. I am really excited to share my Pacha services with you - so thank you for being here to learn more!
I have enjoyed working with people my entire life. For over ten years, I have worked as an outdoor educator, international tour guide and have instructed hundreds of adults, students, families and schools on educational programs across the world. I’ve worked in communities across the world in Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Ecuador & the Galapagos, Tanzania, U.S. & British Virgin Islands & Costa Rica.
I have worked with some of the most amazing people on these travels and have always been so inspired by the amazing women I have met on my journey. I am so incredibly grateful for all of my guides, leaders and people that have shared their homes, dinner tables, traditions, knowledge, skills, languages and smiles with me. For me, there is nothing better than sharing experiences (all the hard-work, challenges, struggles & rewards) with others. I have learned through my own experiences that having a group of women to lean on, to challenge and guide you is truly magical.
I am excited to share my passion in birth work and holistic maternity care. I’m a Birth Doula, Pre & Post Natal Yoga Instructor and training to specialize as a Postpartum Doula.
I am so excited to share Pacha with you and am available to answer any questions, about Pacha Co., my personalized care and what services I have available.
With mutual respect,
Rebecca
BEHIND THE NAME
This name was inspired by one of my greatest role-models, Ecuador guide & now great friend, Alex. We have had the privilege to work together on student programs in her hometown of Agato, Ecuador.
The name PACHA comes from the indigenous Andean word, Pachamama.
Pachamama has become a symbol for Mother Earth. In Inca mythology and is the goddess who embodies the mountains and presides over the earth and all things natural. I felt deeply connected to this interpretation of the concept and it is the perfect name for an organization that is working to support birth givers, families, women & partners during the maternity journey.
A special thank-you to the Agato community and Alex’s family for introducing me to this word, the concept, and sharing your experiences with me. I truly hope that I can prove deserving of this name. Thank you for opening your home, introducing me to your family and sharing your community traditions with me.
Con amor y respeto,
Rebe
